James Halliday: 87pts - Light colour and body; the variety has not been compromised as much as other reds from the vintage, retaining small red fruits.
Ray Jordan: 85pts - This is a leaner merlot than previous vintages, obviously reflecting the vintage, which was quite cool. It's an elegant medium weight wine showing some nice red berry and fruitcake character. Fine tannins and a silky palate.
